Please pray for those whose lives have been affected by the recent tornadoes.

Wow! It's been almost a month since I've posted. Time sure flies. (I see the formatting is still jacked up. **sigh**) I'm sorry, things have been crazy. For a while we had both boys in basketball AND baseball, plus I'm doing a diet and exercise program, so things have been a little cuh-ray-zee. There are just not enough hours in the day. Basketball is now over, and I'm sad to say that I miss it. Both boys did really well, both of their teams ended up highly ranked, and both boys made the All Star showcase. Most importantly, they loved it and it's good exercise. I did mention my diet and exercise. That's going well. Really well. As a matter of fact, I've lost more than 25 pounds so far. WHAT?? Yup - it's going well. When I reach my goal weight, I'll post a before and after. Until then, please keep me in your thoughts. A bonus to my diet and exercise program is that the whole family is eating better and becoming more active. Which is the whole reason I started this journey in the first place - my family. I need to set a better example for my sons, and they deserve a healthy mother who will be with them as long as possible. My health is improving. With each set of lab tests, I see the improvement. Yay! Well, I'm out of time, but I did want to stop in and let you know I am alive. I hope you all have a wonderful remainder of the week.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. My plate has been a little full. But I did want to stop in a post a really quick Quick Takes. I'm hoping blogger will cooperate; it's been screwing with my formatting lately. Aaaaand it appears it's still screwing with me. Yay. Plear bear with me. ---1--- Both of my boys made the All Star basketball teams. I'm so proud of them. I don't say that often enough. Those two boys drive me absolutely insane on a daily basis, but they are very smart, talented young men who have hearts of gold. I love them dearly and wouldn't trade them for the world. Congratulations boys! ---2--- My diet/exercise plan is going well so far. Of course, I could stand to get more exercise. I'm working on that. I wish I was one of those people that loves to exercise. Sadly, I'm not. ---3--- Allergies are causing problems for a couple of us in the household. I wish the dang weather would decide what it's going to do. One day it's 76,the next we have a high of 40. I am sooooo over the cold and ready for Spring. Now, if we could just get Mother Nature to cooperate! ---4--- Spring Break is fast approaching. Do you all have plans for Spring Break? We haven't really done anything the past few years because we've used a vast majority of leave time for illness and travelling with Gabe's baseball team. We'll be travelling less this year, so, although, I don't think we're going to do anything significant for Spring Break, hopefully we'll be able to do more things with the boys on the weekends. ---5--- I'm done for the day! What is with this stinking weather? I live in the South - it's not supposed to be this cold for this long. STOP IT! I am so over this cold weather! I swear, the first person that complains about it being too hot this summer is going to get punched in the throat!! (By the way, did you know that there is a band called Five Finger Death Punch? I did not.)
There was a light snow almost all day yesterday, but not much accumulation. Did the schools let out early? No. Today, there's been no snow at all, but there's a 30% chance of snow this evening and all of the local schools are closing. It makes no sense whatsoever.

TGIF!! It was a relatively normal week. FINALLY! It was busy, of course. Our lives are usually very busy, but thankfully this past week didn't feel frantic like most weeks have recently. Maybe it's just that I'm finally getting back into a groove.
Wednesday I was scheduled for my annual mammogram. As I was going through the check-in process, the lady is asking all of the usual questions; who is the insurance policy holder, who is my employer, etc. She then asks me how many employees there are with my company......
