The weather has turned really cold here. This morning when we awoke it was 29 degrees. Brrrrr! I don't care who you are, unless you live in the Alaskan Yukon or Antarctica, 29 degrees is cold. It's especially cold for us southerners. I don't even think that factored in the wind chill, and the wind was whipping.
We have three acres and we have a great deal of trees. I love those trees in the summer because they look so lush and green, but I despise them in the winter when they drop those dang leaves all over everything. I can sweep the deck and use the leaf blower on the driveway, and the next day it looks as if nothing as been done. UGH! So, frustrating.
Anyway, I digress... It's gotten cold here, so I decided to look for some sweaters. Surprisingly, I really don't have many sweaters. (Did you know that people actually sell sweaters now listed as Ugly Christmas Sweaters? Yup! But that's a post for another day.) I saw another blog panning some sweaters they saw on the American Apparel website, so I decided to check it out. Surely all of their stuff can't be that bad, but...... Let's just say I saw more good than bad. A great deal of their stuff brought back memories of my high school days in the early to mid-80s. Yeah. Scare-eeeee!
Let's take a look shall we?
Velour and acid wash.... wow. 80s for sure!
Nylon track pants - because everyone loves to announce their presence by the swish, swish, swish of the pants legs rubbing together when you walk. Also, notice the peg legs again. Really?? On the website is also the old style pair of sweat pants with elastic at the ankles. I was so glad we got away from those, and now they're back? Please tell me they aren't!
Hair bows as large as your head. Girls, unless you're younger than 10, just say NO to these monstrosities.
Happy Hump Day, ya'll!!
